Hi Anthony

Are there any differences between RC2 and Final Release? I.E. Is there anything to be gained by uninstalling RC2 and then installing the release version?

Will the discount offer last at least as long as 60 days after RC2 release (06/12/07)?

These are the listed minimum requirements for IS
800 Mhz 32-bit Intel (or compatible) CPU
64 MB of RAM available in excess of the OS requirements
25 MB of hard disk space free
Internet Explorer 5.5 or greater (Please note, Internet Explorer 6.0 is required to view a formatted display of the history logs)
800x600 screen resolution at 16-bit colorGiven that immediately post-install there's 78 MB in the "PC Tools Internet Security" folder (and that Vista will use all available RAM preloading apps:)) what are the realistic or recommended requirements?

By all means feel free to draw breath before answering! :D

Pete

Hi Pete,

We have added some installer fixes for the final release compared with RC2.

As long as you have a beta license, you will be eligible for the discount.

Where did you get the minimum specs from? because it looks very different to the one on the PC Tools page - http://www.pctools.com/internet-security/features/

Minimum System Requirements

300Mhz, 256Mb RAM (Win 2000, 32 bit XP)
1Ghz, 512Mb RAM (Vista Home Basic)
1Ghz, 1Gb RAM (All other 32 bit Vista versions)
150Mb of free hard disk space
Internet Explorer 6.0 or greater

Go here: http://www.pctools.com/contact/support/product/internet-security/

then search for "system requirements" or choose from "Browse Top FAQ's"(sic). Maybe someone can kill the apostrophe too!

I believe You are both 'right'.

What A Chen stated is what the SUITE needs to start and get going.
By start up alone it climbs up to around 150Mb+ of Ram.

So if You want XP or whatever to start and run, better go with PC Pete's specs.
To my experience 1,5 Ghz and 512Mb of ram is close to minimum. Tested with 256 = engine kept starting!
