Hi
I have problems receiving emails
On outlook express i got the message"the server have finished connection"
ON TB i got the same email all the time as a new mail(closed message) all the time(1x2x3x )and it never stop
I have to close ALL THE SUITE(YES i have to close ALL THE SUITE, disable only mailguard doest work) in order to receive the emails
No PROBLEMS SENDING emails
Please look into this
BUT FOR GOD DO NOT RELEASE THIS PRODUCT WITHOUT EG
I hate have to wait months and months for this tool like in SD
SG WORKS VERY WELL ON SUITE
Please ,again i will hate see the final release comes out without this tools
Fix it BEFORE release the final version

Attention
I can confirm im only receive emails(booth OE and TB) if i keep the suite DISABLED, (clicking right buton and"Shuttdown"on systray)
Please note:Even disable ALL ONGUARD TOOLS and keeping suite "ON" DOESN'T WORK
So Previouslly i think it could be a EG issue. BUT I AM SURE ITS NOT a problem with EG
I also have noticed . when i receive the message(suite ALL disabled) ,I can see the "Email message checked by suite" note
I dont have this problem with beta3
Please look into this

I, also, had problems with send/receive in Outlook 2003 Win2k. I turned off Spam and that solved it for me so that I am using all of the tools except spam.
Outlook would time out and leave messages on the server. It always seemed to 'freeze' at 83% of receive. Just turning off the Anti-Spam section seemed to deal with it and I have long used other spam tools.
I would prefer that it work. Not sure why it doesn't.
I, also, have the 'flicker' when opening the full product and find it irritating.

This is NOT DEFINITIVELY a problem with Emailguard because disabled emailguard DONT solve the problem.It should be a problem with integrated Spammonitor so i agree with krispin. .Look into this pelease

Just to note, I am having this problem with the release version of PCTIS. I have disabled the Spam Monitor to enable receiving of pop3 emails through Outlook 2003.

As you can see(Since I have started this thread) i have this problem on previous versions(fortunately i dont have this problem for now) As mjq424 says its a problem with SM and NOT with EG
I can ASSURE you disable EG DONT solve this

Today when i check my mails i see the problem have returned
Again, my outlook express shows the "server has finished connection"error message and the ONLY way to receive my mails is disable the SM
Disable SM and i can receive my mails.
PLEASE NOTE:Again this is NOT a problem with EG . I can receive the messages with EG enabled but i have to disable SM .So obviouslly this is a problem with SM and not with EG

I agree with Vecchio. Emails still not received after changing .dat file.
It basically looks like Spam Monitor checks the emails for too long so the server times-out before the email can get into the inbox (1st and 2nd image). Just to let you know, I have Spam Monitor set up to the Custom setting with all the blacklists active, although, just looking it seems that all the blacklist databases are missing (3rd image)? I also filter out all countries except USA.

I have SEVERAL PROBLEMS with SM in my both email clients(Outlook expres and thunderbird
See:
using Outlook:
-All the message will be marked as Spam
-The white / black lists simply NOT WORKING(I receive message marked as spam from a address i put in whitelist(OBVIOUSLLY this should not happen)
And when i put a address in blacklist i RECEIVE a mail from this adress(SIMPLY a ABSURD
Also i have problems with threshold(CAnt change the default value(95) (Already write about this threshold problem in other thread with no official response)
- Dont tell me uninstal / Instal I have already make it 3 times
FOR GOD can someone tell me why the company have released this product if SM simply not work?
I also have asked for more detailed info and help with my problems and so i wrote a ticket to support
After some Support Required info , they simply FORGOT me

This problem was not resolved using TB
If i use TB ,i istil keep receiving the same and the same message as a new message (This not stop) and all marked as SPAM
Please remember,this is NOT a problem with Email Guard because i have to disable SPAM MONITOR (And not Email guard) in order to receive mails
SO i ask Please do not remove emailguard as it will not resolve the problem
OBVIOUSLLY the problem is in SPAM MONITOR

I already have wrote a thread about this ,but without explanation,the ´previous threat i wrote seems to be gone,so let me write about it again
The integrated Spam monitor simpli not work
see:
*If i put a email address in withe list,even doing this it will be marked as spam
I have tested it with outlook express and TB(OBVIOUSLLY this is wrong,a email adres puted on withelist never should be marked as spam)
If i put a address in the black list i still will receive a email from this addresd(I think its wrong)
ALso i have wrote a support email weeks ago asking for more info about how use spammonitor properlly and after they ask me some info,they simply forgot me.
ABSURD
And i cant finish this without talk about another bug in the learning engine in threshold always back to default value (95) even if i change this and click ok..(already mentioned in other thread )
Why did pct have released this product with so many bugs on this tool?

Hi Vecchio,
I have grouped all the similar issues together so the developers can analyze the info accordingly.
The developers are currently looking into this issue. As a workaround, could you please disable the learning engine.
If we require any additional info to help us further, I'll let you know.

Just please remember this issue with thunderbird is NOT related to EG
I ask again this company DO NOT remove emailguard for a re development leaving the customers without this tool for a long period as a recent SpywareDoctor past
AS i said before in other thread,one of the reasons o have bought a suite license is this product have all the guards by default and the customer dont need to wait for SG and EG tools in each new program version as it happens with SpywareDoctor in the past

Just to tell , I can confirm
Disable LE(Learning engine) on integrated SM solve the problem were i non stop receive the same message always and always as a new message and labeled as spam
SO Again obviouslly this is a SM issue and not a EG issue
Please look this

Sorry, no offense intended.
As of the moment my paid subscription is out, but I'm still running on the Beta License.
However as things has been going since the release of the V5 almost a year ago, I think all of us (5??) regulars that have been hanging on should be 'Paid customers'. With our inputs, 'good' or 'bad' I think we have managed to help improve the products in many ways.
But as to me a very important part -the USB port auto scanning, is still missing I would probably be neither 'shortly'. ;)
