Hi all,
I don't know whether anyone else has seen this phenomenon, but when I double click the PCTIS icon or right click the icon in the taskbar by the clock all the other icons on my desktop flicker as the GUI opens. Is this a result of low RAM, as I have only 768?
XP2SP2 And only running TF and PCTIS right now.

Yes, the desktop acts like a Flipper Game, only lights - no bells, before the GUI opends. :D

Hi Reodor,
Glad to know I'm not alone. Apart from that, I've had a couple of freeze ups during scanning which required a reboot but nothing seriously wrong with the PCTIS so far. I like it!:)

Hi Swannie and Reodor,
Regarding the icon flickering, I have escalated this to the developers.
Swannie - For the freezing that is occuring during a scan, could you please provide more info on this? What other security apps are currently running besides TF, if any? How often does it occur? does it occur everytime you run a scan? If you disable the other security apps including TF, does the freezing occur? Are you able to recreate this? Any information that will assist us to reproduce this would really help.

The scanning time for PCTISS encreasd from around 45 min to 1,5 hour with refference to SDV5 for me, 12 GIG's used on a 20 disk. Sometimes it looks like freezing, and was standing 'idle' for up to 5-10 minutes depending of what was scanned. I ran process explorer at the same time to monitor and did not notice any abnormal behavior or CPU activity. ZIP and RAR files are killers. In general I think it is a question about 'patience' like when oprning the GUI (see other post). The process bar stays for up to 30 minutes without mooving and then does a big jump and so does the file counter when chewing through big files.

Hi Anthony,
I don't have any other security apps running apart from TF. It's happened twice during scanning only and I've scanned many times. If it occurs again I'll get back to you with more details. I suspect that one time it happened because I was using the Internet to send e-mails when a scheduled scan started and probably my pathetic 768RAM couldn't handle both ops. Anyway, will let you know,
Cheers!

Hi Anthony,
Looks like the developers have fixed the flickering icon problem. Great work to all involved.:)
