When I make a Full Scan on my laptop the scan keep running at this file: c:\§Recycle,Bin\S-1-5-21-2718554928-3979590125-3087654694-1000\§R9WFS3.rar and total progress is at 22% and filescanner at 0%.
I let it ran for 1 hour then I stopped the scan. It took 15min before the scanning completely stopped the progress.
I have Spyware Doctor W. AntiVirus 5.1.0.273.
I did not have problems with the previous 5.1.0.272(I think it was that number).
My laptop have windows vista home premium

Hi
How big is the file in the recycle bin? I notice that because it is a .rar archive file and is therefore compressed. It takes a long time to decompress files during scanning so if you empty your recycle bin it should complete.
Hope that helps

Rottie,
You can also try to restore the file using the restore option of the recycle bin and then try do a scan with Spyware Doctor with AntiVirus. Further Rottie can you also try to do a scan with just Spyware Doctor ie after diabling the AntiVirus protection.
Please let us know the results.....

It is the .rar files and .zip files I refer to. Although I see that disabling the Antivirus scan has helped, try emptying the recycle bin and scanning again with Antivirus enabled.

Hi mjp424
my recycle bin is empty, thats why I can not quite understand were the .rar files and .zip files are located. Well the adress says it but I can not find it in my computer.
I have to say I am allmost brainless when it comes to computers and especially Anti-Virus Software so please be patience with me :)

Hi support
I tried another thing. In the Anti-Virus setting I disabled "scan archives" and now I do not have problems with the Full Scan
The Anti-Virus integration is enable but I disabled "scan archives". Hoped that helped a bit

Hi
Lol, no worries. In that case, they may be "hidden" files. If you are managing with archive scanning disabled, then I wouldn't worry too much.

Hi Support and others...
After the latest Spyware doctor w. AV 5.5.0.178 I do not have problems with a complete scanning of my computer as I did with the 5.1.0.273 version
The scanning process is a lot faster than the previous version
So keep up the good work
