Hi;
I just jumped ship from being a long time ZoneAlarm Internet Security Suite user.
ZA has really gone done hill in the last year from a truly great suite of security programs to a bloated, slow to load, slow to do anything program that used the be Norton’s realm. ZA 7 is a complete mess; ZA has been working on it for a year now with no resolve in sight. I sometimes wonder if they have any real programmers left sense CheckPoint bought them.
Sooo… I have been trying a lot of alternatives…
• ZoneAlarm… all the way from the free ZA firewall to ZA Internet Security Suite latest beta builds. None of them fix the many problems that ZA is facing.
• Kaspersky Internet Security 6… nice but the hundreds of in your face alerts drove me nuts.
• Norton Internet Security 2008… Pretty nice but somewhat of a resource hog plus I never knew what was going on as they have dumbed it down so much.
• PC Tools Internet Security… now we are talking turkey. A really nice combination of a great interface, nice features, real tweaking power (for power users like me), easy to turn items on or off and a straight forward, easy to use GUI.
I think PC Tools Internet Security is going to be a real winner.
Thanks for the hard work and a great product;
