I have mentioned it before, today I got another spam-email from PC Tools about Beta survey:

Dear Customer,

Thank you for downloading the PC Tools Internet Security beta. As part of our ongoing effort to improve product quality we would like to invite you to take part in a short survey to share your experiences using the product.

To thank you for your effort at the completion of the survey we would like to offer you a $10-discount coupon to be used towards any PC Tools product.

Please click here to take part in the survey now and receive your discount coupon.

Regards,

The PC Tools Team
http://www.pctools.com/

Please stop this.
Pre-made questions like the ones in the survey does not bring up the real issues, this forum does.
The 10$ 'offer' I call ajoke, bad one. If the product fulfills our demand we will buy it, if not we will stay away!
PC Tools will now be directed into 'Spam folder'.

Hi
I think they send a survey for every BETA version, regardless of whether you have done it already. To be honest it is a good way of getting feedback, especially if users don't use the forum.

Lol. U r funny reodor.

You think 10.00 discount is a joke, but, I dun think others have the same opinion as you. I think every1 is happy when they can get discount. *I DO*:p

I got a friend and he is just like you. He complained once. and directed all PCtools email to SPAM. and what? his SD being renewed, and he complained to me as I helped him to purchase S. DOct last year. I told him, if PC tools should email him before they renew our license. but, he argued with me and bet with me for 10.00 (LOL). I asked him to check his Junk/Bulk/Spam. and finally he found it. and, I WON 10 bucks... yuhuu.... LOL I know this sounds funny and it did happen. :D

so yea, up to u....

o h yea, I remember, maybe u can just simply unsubcribe from PC TOOLS...
so u won;t receive any email from them in the future...

I think it will be beter for u.

Greenzeto;
I've gotten off the 'auto renewal', but still have a valid licence for SD
I did not hook off for 'News and abuse' when entering Beta.
I usually check my spam-folder before deleting.
Why should I buy anothe PC Tools product 'here and now' when the PCTIS covers the most and is the one I'm testing to see if it works?
Would it not have been more natural to make the offer: 10$ off when subscribing to PCTIS when released?

Hi
I had the exact same thought as well! Does seem a bit silly, unless they want you to get Registry Mechanic or Desktop Maestro!

LOL, it's called, (nothing more or nothing less than),... 'MARKETING' guys.

Personally I think that those who are taking part in the Beta Testing of the IS and are getting involved by contributing their feedback here on the forum, and therefore enhancing the development of the product, should get their licence free for the first year, after all Beta Testing prior to a final release is an important part in the cycle of software development.

Getting a busy time of the year for me at work, coming up to Christmas. Not so much time for casually cruising the internet at the moment, looking for some entertainment to brighten up an otherwise dull day.

But keep your fingers crossed mjg, Christmas being the time for 'goodwill to all men', you never know Santa might bring you a wee 'pressie' from PCTools LOL. :p
