Spyware Doctor Portable Updated to 30.10.07

Here is an updated version of my portable program.
(Teliasonera is a

fast download) Unrar the file to any folder and read the readme.txt file.(Instead of

'spyware doctor portable.exe'in the readme, it should now read SDP301007.exe)
For some reason unknown to me, about a week after I submitted my program, the loader,

Spywaredoctorportable.exe has been added to the spyware doctor database as being a Trojan

Startpage. To the best of my knowledge, this is a false positive. By all means let the

program delete the files it reports if you want to but if you do, remember to shut the

program down from the system tray icon rather than just clicking the red x in the program

window.
I use this program on machines that do not have PCtools programs installed as it will almost

certainly clean out all registration information in all PCtools programs. No other program

should be affected. If you want to use it, backup your serial numbers and installation

programs first.
I enjoy experimenting with programs and if anyone thinks I am missing something in my coding

or going over the top in cleaning things out, then I welcome all replies (except nasty ones)
Changes:-
All files updated to 30.10.07.
Due to alteration of update method, sys files are now copied to the Windows\system32\drivers

folder to prevent them always wanting to be replaced in an update.
Extra 'clean out' added to attempt to clean out registry legacy keys.

PCTools seem to spend all their time trying to destroy my portable versions of Spyware Doctor rather than concentrate on all the masses of false positives and real malware out there - would you believe that they put malicious scripts into the very intelli signature files in order to ruin my program for a few hours eg altering driver characteristics or setting false environment variables - who needs viruses when PCTools do it for us?
I can live with the drivers issue as that is their product but I cannot live with changing variables that affect other programs on the computer and the registry.
So, just to show my disdain I have made a portable version of Spyware Doctor 5.5 beta.
Also, as they do not give updates for beta versions, I have updated it for them to save them the bother.
Run the program from anywhere by double clicking start.bat.
It will back up and later restore any other PCTools registered programs (but back up your serial numbers just in case you get mixed up at some point).
(5.5 has a minor bug - the very first scan might present a blank page. If it does then press cntl+alt+del then shut down pctsgui.exe, pctstray.exe, pctsauxs.exe and pctssvc.exe then start start.exe again)
Shut the program down in the system tray then run remove.bat.

Hi Kentroup,

Are you saying that there is a FP on Spywaredoctorportable.exe? The MRC team have downloaded the .rar file and have checked every file and performed a scan without any detections. If this is on the wrong track could you please clarify and I'll assist you further. Have you modified SD into a portable version?
