Installation halted while driver.exe (firewall driver installer?) hogged CPU cycles for about 20 minites.
Was prompted about 10 times with attached warning before installation completed. (It's possible that the first warning was hidden behind another window for the 20 minutes and I just didn't notice it but I don't think so.)

Apart from that, 'pctsSvc.exe' initially grabbed all CPU time for a few minutes after reboot but has done so again. :)

Beta 3 is in, and so far working but first:
Getting rid of Beta 1 was not easy this time.
I hate uninstallers that goes on the net to the suppliers web page and wants You to buy! There is a reason for uninstall, that kind of action is what we want protection from!
I denied access - and it refused to uninstall!!
Tried next time to grant access but closed the FF window before loading PC Tools web-page. BSOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Finally had to accept the page to load, but it took almost 30 minutes to uninstall. PctsSvc hogged all resources from it own activity!!!
What did I do different this time from last time when it went without problem: I did not shut it down from sys.tray first but tried to uninstall directly when running.
A Chen - in the sticky I think You should recomend to shut down BEFORE attempting to uninstall, and get rid of the redirect and web activity!

Beta 3 went in without any of the problems described above, and after a short test it seems to be les activity going on from pstsSvc.exe. McAfee siteadvisor only triggers some 2% activity and I even managed to open my Mah Jong game without ****ting down PCTIS. Even normal file-opening seems improved. Perhaps after 9 months this might be going in the right direction?
Time will tell.

Hi
I also had little error screens during installation, however, they disappeared before I could do anything!
PCTIS is still slower than having ZoneAlarm Antispyware and NOD32 together. Also the GUI is still taking a while to load, peraps slightly quicker than BETA1 (never got a chance to test BETA2).

Beta 3 is working fine for me so far. No more false "malicious attachment" warnings. I like this program. Not nearly as intrusive as many others on the market and seems to be doing a good job of blocking the usual malware. If I had a suggestion at this point it would be to update the usefulness of the spam filter. Instead of just marking spam be able to set up a folder to put it in and also be able to easily tell it which e-mails are and are not spam. I hope PCTools continues to develop this program.:)

I have given up 'local' spam filters long ago and outlook is sent to recycle bin!
Are using Yahoo+ and that has been working rather good.
One spammer sneaked through yesterday: PC Tools!
E-mail about a Beta test survey. I deliberately did not hook off to accept mails from PC Tools when entering Beta test, still they abuse my e-mail.
I went through the survey, a 'joke', just to see what it was and find the 10$ 'catch'.
At the end it ends up with a 10$ discount if one buys one of the products there and then, but not PCTIS!!!! Why would I be interested in buying AV, SD (still have a valid licence), TF, Reg Mech....?
Think one should figure out other 'rewards' for the Beta testers than that kind of jokes!
Suggest there is a link to the forum on the Beta download page for all testers to take part in the discussion, or is it mainly the few participating here doing the Beta testing?

Thanks for the feedback guys :)

PC Pete and Mjq424 - Regarding the Firewall driver problem, we have resolved this, and it will be released in the next build. We will work on improving the resource issues with the PCTIS.

Reodor - Will pass on you're message regarding the website pop-up. Is the process the same if you uninstall beta 3? and has anyone else experienced this problem when uninstalling beta 1?

Sticky has been updated :)

Vecchio and Socrfan - Great to see things are working well :)

Also created a feedback section for this forum - http://www.pctools.com/forum/showthread.php?t=49450

And Yup, we'll continue to develop and fix problems found in this beta version.

I hate uninstalling a 'working' app, but guess I'll have to at next update.
If still a problem, I'll be back. :)
