Thanks for contacting PC Tools.

Regarding the slowing down on some SDE Client PC's.

If the SDE Client's performance is suffering due to Spyware Doctor and there is no scan running, please try the following steps to try to isolate the problem.

1. In the left pane of the SDE Console select 'Policies', then select 'Edit', to configure the 'Policy' you currently use.

2. Select the 'OnGuard' tab and make sure 'Enable OnGuard' is ticked. As a test please disable 'Startup Guard' then click on 'Save'.

3. Right click on the 'Group' where that Client PC is located and select 'Properties'. Select the 'Policy' that you have just changed and then click 'Apply Policy'. This will apply the change you have just made so it takes effect on the client.

4. If the problem continues try turning all OnGuard Tools 'off', then turn all of the Tools back ON one at a time to see if you can isolate the problem tool specific to that PC.

Please let us know how you go.

Kind regards,

Matt Johnson
