Hi, im new here and I just wanted to say that spyware doctor is a great product. I don't know much about spyware and malware and im hoping to learn more about it from these forums. I purchased spyware doctor last night and ran a scan and it found 1196 infections. I was so shocked to see all the different types of infections that were on the pc. Read through the descriptions and actually frightened myself heheh My computer is running extra fast now after a scan and fix. I was thinking about formatting my pc, but now it doesn't seem like I have to anymore :D
Before this, I tried scanning with AVG and the PC kept rebooting. Im thinking the malware was stopping the scan from running. I even tried going into safemode but couldn't. It seems the malware process was somehow not allowing me to remove them. But by installing SD, it was able to install and run without any problems and once the scan completed, I was able to use the unusable PC again :) Where do all these malware come from? Im so glad I discovered spyware doctor before it was to late, especially from reading that screenshot about directing the browser to a malicious site when accessing bank details... how risky.
Once again thanks for the great product guys and will recommend this to my friends :)

Have not had either "False' or 'Real' positives in any of my systems for the last year (Touch wood) running: AVG (free), SDV5, McAfee, SAS and tested quite a lot of others apps. I have one routine and that is to run CCleaner BEFORE every scan.
Where do You get it all from???

Hi
@Reodor - Unfortunately it is incredibly easy to get malware infections these days. Just this last week, I had to stop my housemate from getting a smitfraud infection through a drive-by-download (she was going to click OK on a popup, with a Malware Alert! window behind it)! All she was doing was looking at a perfectly normal website!

The "infection" name is" Trojan.Agent!sd5", located on "winlogon.exe" . Only the suite found this and the company have already told me its not a malicious file
So i am waiting for the fix(hopefuly before the oficial release)
