Some folks who try to take pictures of popups are not aware of how to acquire them and then post them here. Below I will describe the process.
First, purchase or download a screen capture program like Screen Shot Deluxe 8. If a popup or other problem appears, use the key combination required to capture the popup window. Then SAVE it.
Second, upload it to an Album Site like www.imagecave.com. That site is free for up to 10 Mb.
Third, copy the URL of the popup picture on the Album site to your clipboard.
Fourth, click on the Insert Image Icon on the icon bar at the top of your message here. You may have to enable Scripted Windows from a popup at the top of your web browser if you get a message that you have to okay it.
Fifth, paste the copy of the URL into your message. It will then appear here.
(Moderator: you may want to make these directions a sticky.)

Is it an advertisement here? Or what?.. PURCASE and DOWNLOAD.... LOL
There are tons of free screenshots utilities in net.
Like looney2ns mentioned in XP and Vista there are tools inbuilt to make screenshots.
If somebody does not know it is Snipping Tool in Vista.

the built in tools are rather poor in comparison to many free/comercial products
just like you don't use paint as an image editor you don't need to use snipping tool or printscreen when there are better free productsIs it an advertisement here? Or what?.. PURCASE and DOWNLOAD.... LOL

In Windows, if you want it to only capture the active window rather than the full screen, press "Ctrl + Alt + Shift + Print Screen" (why Microsoft made it such a complicated key combination I don't know :p).
If you want the mouse included, I use a free program called Screen Hunter Free (made by Wisdom Soft - careful you download the free version, not the paid-for version). Look in the settings for whether you want the active window, full screen, or a pre-defined area. There's also a tickbox to include the mouse. Other options are it can copy onto the clipboard, or directly save it as a JPEG in a folder of your specification. You can also change what key on your keyboard you use to take a screenshot - I set it to Print Screen.
Images can be uploaded onto www.imageshack.us for free (and it now gives you a direct link to your image rather than a thumbnail + ton of forum code), although careful because some of the adverts have a tendancy to install crap on your computer.
