View Full Version : Email Guard and Site Guard
Why pctools doesn't inform us when SG and EG will be available for download?
We paid for the full version that should incude them.
I must admit that they really try hard to push us in some other products.
I can't really explane how from SD4(very successfull version) they went to SD5(for many months causing lot of problems).
I was one of those who were suggesting SD to all my friends and I was very happy with it.
It fills like a betrayal from pctools.Maybe betrayal ia a tough ward but after so many incomplete versions that's how it fills.

Hi
I know what you mean. Site Guard and Email Guard are essential tools. I'm not sure when they might be available again, however, the new PC Tools Internet Security BETA has both as part of it (be warned it is still very much in BETA!) along with some nice new extras!
Hope that helps
Thanks mjq424,
I'll give it a try.

LOL! If Spyware Doctor V5 was fit for release to an unsuspecting public, Lord only knows what the next beta is like. Might be ready in the next millennium!

Hi Keith,
I did email pctools 2 days ago. I also asked them about this thing. They told me, it should be released next week. I dun really care about site guard, I care more about email guard. it just looks cooler when you send an email and there is a signature saying "has been scanned by pctool antivirus" or something like this. hahaha,,,,,
Hope this news can make u "a bit" feel better. haha... :D

I get my outgoing email tagged for free with avast!
And for lack anything better to do, I tried PC Stools' new beta. Looked pretty good for folks with a system a little more robust than mine. One cool feature - block email by country (Goodbye, Nigeria!!!)

Hi
LOL Keith. If you want to block mail by country anyway, you could try the free version of Spam Monitor (http://www.pctools.com/spam-monitor/).
I did find, however, that it slowed down Outlook when it was downloading mail. This isn't the case with PC Tools Internet Security though.
Hope that helps
