Hi,

I use Office Outlook 2003, PCTools Spyware/Antivirus, and PCTools Firewall.

I uninstalled Spam Monitor a week ago, and everything worked fine until today; now every time I call up Outlook, even after reboots, I get the error message:

C:Program Files/Spam Monitor/SMOutlook.dll could not be installed or loaded

It then tells me to use Outlook's "Delete and Repair" tool.

After I clear the error message, Outlook does load. And I have used the Delete and Repair tool, reboot, and it returned back empty. I have not run any tools besides the PCTools stuff.

Can anyone help me fix this?

Rob

Hi Rob,

It appears that the Spam Monitor Outlook plugin has not been uninstalled.

To remove in Outlook:

1. Tools->Options->Other Tab
2. Click “Advanced Option…”
3. Click “Add-in Manager”
4. Unselect “_SpamMonitor”
5. Restart Outlook

The error should no longer appear.

Dear Anthony,

Worked like a charm. I never even saw that button in Outlook...

Thanks again,

Rob
