I have AdAware 2007, Windows Defender, Spybot S&D and McAfee Suite running.
I just installed PC Tools Spyware Doctor and my PC really slowed down. Does anyone know if I can get rid of AdAware 2007. I don't like it. That's why I bought Spyware Doctor. It found lots of bad things that everything else missed.
Is Spyware Doctor really all I need.
I think I have to much running.
Thanks in advance for any replies.
Also, what might my best settings be?

It seems you do have alot of security programs running and this could lead to your PC slowing down.
Some users like to keep their PC's heavily protected, but as for me I keep things basic. Right now im running SD+AV with ThreatFire and this is keeping my system clean and just doing some safe surfing of the web.
Main things you'll need 1 Firewall, 1 AV, 1 antispyware software.
Spyware doctor is a really good software in detecting malware. But like all antispyware software, some infections may be missed where others can detect. Eventually, signatures will be created though, some just quicker then others. With SD, if I cannot remove anything, I just run the MD tool and a signature is created within a couple of days.
You also got to be careful with the real time protection. Advice would be to run only real time protection from 1 of your software as running mutliple can cause conflicts, crashes and could really slow down your system.
I have not tried AdAware before. So im not really sure what the procedures are to removing, but im guessing, just a normal uninstall of any program in add/remove programs.
Im currently thinking about trying the PCTools Internet Security suite that has just been released. Its currently in beta, but I may try this on a test PC to see how this goes.

I was running a McAfee suite also because it came with my laptop. I very quickly had to uninstall it because it was causing major slow downs on my system.
Listen to Gambit, keeping it light is the way to go. 1 Firewall, 1 AntiVirus and 1 AntiSpyware is good advice.
