Hi
Congratulations PC Tools! PCTIS, so far, its looking pretty good :D
Just a few things so far:
I had what looked like 3 or 4 errors during installation, however, the little windows popped-up and disappeared before I could do anything! Not sure what they were for, just had time to see a yellow warning triangle in each of them!
I still have SD 4.1 installed, I wasn't warned during PCTIS installation about conflicts!
I LOVE the GUI, beautiful!
Still a massive Virtual Memory usage and CPU usage like in SD
My BETA version says its not registered...so I can't change the email settings (what are the benefits of registering anyway?!)
The settings screen is a little confusing for the beginner, perhaps a beginner and advanced user interfaces would be useful?
I seem to have two registry startup entries for the Tray app (named ISTray and SDTray):
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [ISTray] "C:\Program Files\PC Tools Internet Security\pctsTray.exe"
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [SDTray] "C:\Program Files\PC Tools Internet Security\pctsTray.exe"
(Startup entries from HijackThis)
The startmenu entries are named wrongly. The folder is called PC Tools Internet Security, but the contents are called Spyware Doctor! (See attached image)
Keep up the good work! :D:D:D
