Slow Scan Speed

Just a question in relation to the speed of the scan using Threatfire.

If I perform a full scan using the 'Rootkit Scan' option only the scan is completed in just over a minute.

However if I perform a full scan using the 'Rootkit Scan' & 'Virus Scan' option or just the 'Virus Scan' option the scan is incrediably slow. The scan takes about half an hour just to complete around 5 to 10% of the scan.

I also have Norton Internet Security 2007 installed on my PC and a full scan using NAV 2007 takes around 35 to 45 minutes which is (I think) the normal time a virus scan should take.

Is there any reason why my 'Rootkit Scan' & 'Virus Scan' scans using Threatfire would take so long? Is there any way to increase the speed?

We are hoping to put more options for scanning in later builds. As it stands now, the AV scans do take a lot of time, however the basic scan has the default paths which encompass in our opinion important folders.
