A recent login/connection problem resulted in an error message that my user name & password for "server 127.0.0.17" was incorrect. I sorted out this difficulty, but decided to run a trace on this phantom server (which bore no relationship to my ISP address) and found it was a Netscape test loop-back address.
I haven't used Netscape for at least 2 years - and thought I had unistalled and/or deleted every reference to the original installation. But when I ran a registry search I found 63 (!) keys that used a reference to 'netscape'.
I really want to clear my system of all unnecessary references, but I'm not sure which entries I can safely delete.
Can anyone give me a lead please?
