I think I deleted registry information that allows my dv video editing software to capture from my dv video camera. Does anyone know about the keys and values needed to do this? I think it contained the word video. I was going to look though my old resitry, but cant find it. Maybe someone could e-mail a copy of a win 98 regestry?
Thanks
John

Read this article, it was a question I asked the screensavers a while back, it will tell you exactly how to restore your registry http://www.techtv.com/screensavers/answerstips/story/0,23008,3308253,00.html

Thanks, I looked at the reference. That doesn't help me, my registry shows no error, everything works fine except my software will not capture from the IEEE1394. I still think I might have deleted a value or key. Is there a refrence that shows the normal 'stuff' in the registry?

OK The trick is you need to restore the registry to a date before you deleted the key.
