Conflict with Eset Smart Security beta 2

On a WinXP SP2 Pro system, my PC will sometimes freeze upon a bootup at the ESS splash screen, with nothing to be done save pressing the power button. Problem did not exist with ESS beta 1b.

No other resident software installed save for ESS and TF.

I am using the V2277 and I don't see any conflict yet. Scanning, cleaning up etc.... all looks good so far.
