Yes it is. I have tested extensively, and there seems to be no compatibility issues.

Hi,

I tried to install ThreatFire 3.0.0.15 today. I have Kaspersky Anti-Virus 7.0 with application activity analyser and registry guard switched on. After installing, I had a warning from Kaspersky appear, identifying the riskware 'Invader' and saying:

'Process is trying to inject into another process'.

This was then followed by a number of other alerts about suspicious activity. To be safe, I denied the processes and attempted to rollback the changes (though KAV said that this was unsuccessful). I then uninstalled Threatfire.

I have two questions: first, is this a natural problem of trying to install threatfire with KAV pro-active defence turned on (and thus was the 'invader' not riskware at all?)?

Second, is there any way in which I can check whether threatfire has been completely removed from my computer and registry?

Many thanks, and I apologise for my clear lack of expertise in this area.

Hi
Your warnings from Kaspersky are just general behaviour based warnings that if you werent installing anything would be worrying. When installing protection programs like ThreatFire, other protection programs can create warnings.
Please reinstall ThreatFire and allow the changes that Kaspersky detects (you can check that they originate from ThreatFire by looking at the more info section on the warnings).
Hope that helps

Instinct,

Just as mjq424 said, this is fine. Just allow Threatfire and Kis should run as normal. As far as removing from the registry, if you are concerned about the uninsall process, you can try Registry Mechanic http://www.pctools.com/registry-mechanic/download/ This will fix any errors in your registry, and remove any unused values, however the uninstall process removes all key values on it's own.

Thanks all,

I have reinstalled and everything is fine now. I only just bought KAV, so I'm a bit new to its warnings.

Thanks again!
