I run XsoftSpySE and scan every time I open the internet browser. This has become routine as it very often suggests that my browser opening page (About Blank) has been hijacked. Can I stop this happening, how serious is it?
Any Ideas?
Many Thanks Rayc.

Hi
This is probably a false positive. About:Blank used to be used by CoolWebSearch adware to hijack your browser, however, if you have chosen it as your home page it is not a problem. Just add it to the ignore list if you can (not sure how that works with XoftSpy, I have never used it)
Hope that helps

To run the OS in ram is another alternative to avoid this problem. In case this kind of hijack or infection of virus occurs, just reboot the computer and the hijack or virus will be destroyed.
