Hi everyone,

Just got round to downloading this morning and wanted to report that all went smoothly and everything is working fine so far. No discernible slowdowns anywhere. I like the appearance and user-friendliness of the new version but have to say I preferred the previous name and tray icon.

Successful start for me too.
It did require a reboot after installation. I don't know why this bugs me sometimes, but it does.
Besides that all seems to be well.:)

Practically everything these days seems to need a reboot after installation. Just updated to the latest version of Skype and same story. I sometimes wonder whether all this stopping and starting is good for the machine. It does get a little irksome but it must be necessary.

Hi guys
The reason why a restart is necessary is that the kernel drivers responsible for providing protection need to be loaded and the corresponding service needs to start. Its partly due to the way Windows works with loading new drivers into kernel memory.
You can of course blame it all on Sony and their Rootkit! ;)

Thanks for the explanation and I'll definitely blame it on Sony and their rootkit!! But seriously, by finding out why we do various things which we often take for granted, we increase our knowledge so it's great to get an informed response:)
