Slow down page loading

I have just downloaded threatfire free,and have noticed a slowlown in pages opening. the page comes uo at about the same speed as before i loaded threatfire, but ther is a niticeable hang in displaing the page. I use Xp pro and Ie 7 with cable. If the delay is still there with threatfire suspended, can it still be the cause? (it is still there) also do you have any reports about how threatfire interacts with Avast? thank you for all assistance, norm ishmael

Shucks. Norm, Sorry it took so long to get back to tou. About your queston,Gee,I guess it could be that Rascally Threatfire that is slowing your Cable **** to below dial-up speed.

Im sorry no-one has answered your question, however, the ThreatFire team are based in the USA, as they are only just waking up now I wouldnt expect a response any quicker. Usually when asking for support (from any company) it can take over 24hrs, purely because there is usually no straight answer.

So to answer your question, Im afraid Im going to ask another question:
Apart from Avast, do you use any other security software?

Please also note that this current BETA version does not fully Suspend (that will be working in later builds)

All I can say is that it probably is due to ThreatFire as it does monitor for scripts, etc embedded in browser pages, or for launching malicious programs through the browser (like drive-by-downloads).
As far as I know, there are no compatibility issues with either Avast or A-squared free.

Threatfire has been tested with Avast and there are no known compatibility issues. Try downloading another browser like Firefox or Opera, to see if there are performance issues. You could try deleting your browser history.
