Explorer slow to open

I am running IE6 version 6.0.2900.2180.xpsp_sp2_gdr.070227-2254 and recently it has become very slow to open. Whether clicking on its icon or clicking a link elsewhere it takes around 45 seconds for IE to open. I am running Windows XP2 Home edition and have Norton 360 as well as having run Spyware Doctor, Adaware, and Spybot. Any suggestions?

Upgrade to IE7...
And post a HijackThis logfile...

I have no desore to upgrade to IE7. However, I shall attempt to attach a HiJackThis logfile as requested.
