Hi all,

Would anyone know how to move IE cached credentials (primarily passwords, autocompletes) to another computer or account ?

I've seen tools like IE Password Recovery that allow you to extract that information to a viewable text file, but what I want to do is backup the passwords/autocompletes from one computer/account and restore it on another computer/account without viewing the actual text or manually entering all the autocompletes and passwords.

A backup and restore freeware or shareware (no restrictions at least for a few days) program would be great.

Would anyone have any ideas on how to do this IE credentials backup and restore on another computer without manually entering passwords and autocompletes ?

Thanks in advance,
Shawn

Ahh that would be a great solution, but unfortunately it's a firefox plugin and is not functional with IE :/

Passview displays the information, but I don't want to see it. I want to be able to restore (or copy) the cached credentials from one comp to another without viewing or manually entering the information.

You'd think there would be a tool to migrate this information :P

Did you read the section called 'Moving your passwords and AutoComplete strings to another computer'? Did you try it?

Did you read the section called 'Moving your passwords and AutoComplete strings to another computer'? Did you try it?Bah I'm sorry, I should have mentioned the computers are running IE7. Although there is another version of passview that allows you to view IE7 passwords, it does not have the options to import and export.
