could someone plese explain to me with some detail about privacy guardian>shredding settings>algorithms and passes ...oh and alternate data streaming (I persume that bit does every other scan!)

Which is better 3 passes or 35 passes? (which one does the job more efficiently?):confused:

(now ya know why I picked this username! LOL!) unless you fear of the FBI raiding your PC you don't need more than a couple of passes:D

(the less passes the faster but the more passes the harder to recover the data)

Ha, actually, I had the same question as Scratching Head! I could've just lurked and not been embarrassed by my idiocy, but wanted to make him/her feel better as a nice side-effect :rolleyes:
