Today after the update the siteguard tool doesn't exist.
Somebody knows what's going on?

I also experienced it. After performing an update upgrading the Site Guard it can't be found in the On Guards tools anymore.

I too noticed that Site Guard AND POP UP BLOCKER now do not appear.

WHAT IS GOING ON ?.

Solve one problem and create another!!!!.

When I ran Smart Update, in addition to the usual 4.?Mb database, the magic box also said those features had been upgraded. Yeah, right off the face of the earth! Not that it matters - Site Guard's whitelist still wasn't working as of two days ago, so I've had it disabled for a couple of months. And now I see that Cookie Guard no longer recognizes that I have Firefox installed.

Watch out Keith, You seem to be closing in on V5! I noticed You have gone from an empty martini glass to a racing car, are You surfing 'under influence'?

Hi Everyone,

Thanks for the info. Site Guard and Pop-up blocker are now reinstated on Smart Updates.

The new protected mode in IE7 introduced instability in Popup blocker and Site Guard. We removed them from smart update while the updated versions were being tested. We have now reinstated them back on Smart Update until the new versions are available.

Yeah, except for the above problems SD 4.1 has been behaving pretty well, but with 47 days til it turns into a pumpkin I ain't holding my breath for a miracle. And V5 ain't never gonna happen. (I'll never have a Porsche 917 either, LOL)

Martini season is out. It's Margarita time!

If You flip down the Margarita, by-pass the power-supply and run 220/110 straight into Your Dell, it might 'burn' off like a Porche and even manage to power up SD V5 before the smoke clears and the dust setle.
You might have it all, it is all up to You.:D :D :D

@Keith & Reodor,

Great to see the sense of humour produced on this forum hasn't died LOL! :D

Nice to hear from you, Alli (as I hang my head in shame), will write soon. Lots of problems. Ever have a 'double-click mouse' and have to wait for your monthly disability check to order a new one? Not Fun. Loose electrical connection somewhere coming into the computer, and the original (AFAIK) battery reads 100%, but only lasts 2 minutes under load. System Restore doesn't save anything when the clock rolls over to a new day. Yack, yack, yack!!!

Reodor, thank you for being nice to me yesterday. We are on the same side, after all, but if you look at your earliest posts, you sure sounded like a 'company man' (Mr Green, 'Tempest in a Teapot', ad nauseum) at first, hence the 'Mr Green' post. You have proven me wrong a hundred times over. I hope you get where I'm comin' from,

Keep Your head and punch up keith.;)
You were only partly 'mutilated', not totally padlocked or deleted as me, but a good try. At least i got Your post before it went into 'Hall of Fame', but was a bit to buisy to 'answer' your questions. Blame it all on the low battery power, as I mentioned 110/220 gives more punch!

Perhaps it was a case of 'hitting below the belt' or as they might say at HQ: 'Down under'??

But You do not have to 'miss' Your old friends, they are still here but in 'new' appearance. Only the posts and styles remains more or less the same. It is all like a theater a bit short of actors. When one caracter dies, a new appears, but the actor behind the mask is still the same. Then You have the ones like me and You: we are like squash balls. The harder we gets smashed to the walls, the harder we bounces back and as the 'perv's' we are - we loves it! But we got 'balls'.! Then we have the semi-retired 'huggy' ones that sits cuddling on the balcony dropping a comment of support now and then.

Look at it this way: We are all spices in this Curry soup commedy that the release of SDV5 created. If the taste gets too bitter, take a sip of the Marquarita and wash it away, or add some more spices. But I have to addmit that it is to tempting to take a taste now and then the see what latest release have added, but sometimes it gets too spicy! But it seems that we are not supposed to blame the chefs, it is our tongue that does not fit into the recepy!

For You my friend, You may call me anything - for someone else: Please do not call me at all.

You know, might be a good idea to have options on downloads.
Since I have no intention of using IE7 or VISTA, those issues do not apply here.
To have a removal of needed coverage due to instability with programs some of us don't use is scary.
Why did I buy SD in the first place?
To have you shut off needed protection?
Nope.

Don't do that again, or you will enter the Lavasoft folder.
Permanently.

I guess these days I'm one of the balcony sitters - although I don't feel I'm doing a lot of hugging I just enjoy watching the show.

You are so right Reodor some of the 'old' characters do seem to have been given new identities recently but the make up is rather thin.

Seems also there are double standards when applying the rules of the forum which is also nothing new. 'Jimbo' in another thread makes his latest personnel attack on Reodor - not worth quoting, and like all of his previous posts on a similar theme it is allowed to remain intact.

Keith on the other hand who has made a massive contribution to this forum by making many excellent points in a telling and humorous way, post I always look forward to reading, is censored.

No idea what was said before the post was censored but whilst in the past you may have used humour to deflate some over inflated egos, I have never read a post from you Keith that could have been considered malicious in any way.

Keith you have many friends here.

I'll take my place back in the audience now, but keep up the good work guys!

Thanks for the kind words. You really didn't miss much.

1) I asked if Senor Gringo was still a pig (his choice for a user name).

2) I asked, Whatever happened to this fellow I called a 'Company Man', who hasn't posted since the middle of May, who uses the handle 'Warren G'? Isn't it funny that in the time I spent waiting (and watching Firefox's throbber go round & round) for my post to register, that 'Warren G' suddenly appeared with a response? Company man? No.....

Well Keith, all I can say is: "Grunt Grunt - SQUEAL!"

Remember Keith, if I understand you correctly, my point was that my PC was of AVERAGE build and spec. My **** is only typical, sadly.
Go down to yr bog-standard granny PC shop and you can buy a Intel Duo 2 with 1GB of RAM for peanuts!

I see no strange or ab-normal in Keith's set up. It has been working, and why should it not keep on working? With its advertised 'lighter and faster engine' it should even work better with V5?
However I think Keith's problem when it comes to up-grading is that 'peanuts' is not the trading currency in the community where he lives, a community probably more 'average' than yours?;)

1: I think the reason Your post got somewhat castrated was the use of GREEN text in the name. Together with the catle pigs are one of the biggest contributors to the worlds emmisions of methane gas which is not veyry friendly to the environment and thereby may not be categorized as 'GREEN'. Even I was once put in that category, but that was quicly corrected by moderator!

2: As for Your other 'friend', he might have stumbled on the 'delete' button and got lost in 'system restore'. Hopefully (?) he is concentrating at his desk at QA (according to own statement) trying to figure out what QA means, and if we are all lycky, one day he might hit Google with his high end gambling machine and figure it out. Then of course comes the problem of implementing it!

Forgive me for not being 'huggie', but by going by your history of posts on this forum aimed at Keith Warner and his computer specs. this comment is nothing less than a personal attack. Peanuts for some is Brazil nuts for others. ;)

Where is the board censorship now?

At least though you have answered his question.

"history of posts on this forum aimed at Keith Warner and his computer specs"

Eh??? What's that about? Are you nuts? The man has posted about his problems with SD and he readily admits to having a computer with a spec. which is somewhat outdated. That's it. Don't make an issue out of it: I never did. You exaggerate, my friend. You make it sound as if I have something personal against the man!

Ah! If only I could go down to my local PC shop and get such a setup for peanuts, I'd have fewer problems with CPU usage etc. However, we are talking more along the lines of Macademia nuts here so I'm trying to fill my "piggy" bank (no offence Gringopig!) and waiting for the day.

Speaking of personal attacks, I am still being labeled by the elders as the company man. If someone makes a false assumption about my nature and how long I have/haven't posted then I will bite back, and generally wont be suttle about it.
Keith seems to have me all worked out, how did he know that I had a little tool which tells me when my posts have been replied to or if keywords are written in posts like hmm "warreng"?

Anyway was a good catchup and a great laugh. Great to see your all still lost in this fat overbearing program.

Best of luck
