Downloaded SD 5.0.5, after scan, manually ran smart update. Its been almost half an hour and SD is still running Update. Noticed on GUI that SD downloads an update and then hangs for 1-2 mins then come back to life to download next item. During that hang whole machine almost freezes and everything stops responding apart from SD application itself.
Also half way through Update gui disappeared but checked task manager and a process update.exe was running in background. Is it SD update? Any other got same problem? Is it ok to kill update.exe?

Ive just run a scan and everything seems to work ok. I noticed that for the first time when I ran a smart update, there was a mini lag, probably about 5 seconds, but then the smart update screen came up and everythings been running great since. Ive also got all the Onguard tools turned on. I don't have the AV plugin by the way.. do you?
What do you mean by smart update hanging for half an hour? is it locked into the update screen or something rather?

I was downloading AV related updates when it kept on hanging after successful download of every single item.
While item was being downloaded everything was working fine but betwen middle of next download it used to hang briefly for a min or more before coming to life and start download of next item. This kept on happening for half an hour. Now no update.exe is running and my system is good and no freezes

Hi Guys,
We have rolled back to the previous build of SD (5.0.1.205). I will notify you of the new release once I receive more information.
For those that have installed 5.0.5.258, please uninstall this version and re-install 5.0.1.205.
Apologies for the inconvenience.
