View Full Version : CyberHawk Pro as personal firewall?

I was visiting CastleCops and saw a review of several HIPS programs-

http://wiki.castlecops.com/HIPS/IDP_programs/services

The article at CC said that CyberHawk Pro could be configured to act like a personal firewall.-

"Network control-
Allows control of outgoing and sometimes incoming network connections by process. I.e Personal firewall capabilities."

Does anyone know a step-by-step of how to set this up? The "help" file in CH seemed a bit cryptic. Also, does anyone know how well CH Pro performs in leak tests?

Thanks!

There are plans for a help doc to set up certain rules. Custom Rules can be set up to "act" like a firewall, although we have not yet put it "custom rules" up against Leak Tests.

We are also looking into how users can share their rules, but like I said, all in the "todo" list.

Hi
I can confirm that even without custom rules, Cyberhawk Pro detects common firewall Leak-tests as PUPs so it can act as a "firewall", or at least an extra layer of protection on-top-of your firewall (certainly better than Win XP or Vista firewalls!)
