My Internet Explorer has been hijacked (i.e. my browser web page cannot be changed from a site that I don't want). What can I do?

Hey Jimmy,
If you are still interested (your post was a while ago), download and install Hijack This! Try this link here: http://www.majorgeeks.com/download3155.html
Unzip it to your desktop if it comes in a .zip file. Run the program, and make sure to save a log file with the results. When everything is done, the log file should open automatically. Copy and paste everything in the log file (hold Control and hit A, then still holding Control, hit C). Paste it into this thread, or send me a private message with the contents. I can help you out from there. If you want to try to do this on your own, I would highly recommend using this website: http://www.hijackthis.de/
Paste the log file into the text area/box on this page and hit the button below to have the website scan through your results. When it completes, it will show you exactly what everything is and how danagerous it is to your computer. Remove the entries that come up as dangerous only, do not remove anything else as it could cause serious problems.
Once you have removed the selected problems, try downloading and running Spybot and Ad-aware. Both will help you out as well. Also make sure to go into Add/Remove programs in your control panel (Start > Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs) and remove all the programs which look suspicious. Some may not remove, but that is ok, they should have been picked up by one of the other programs. Again, make sure not to get rid of anything you may need.
The easiest way if you don't feel confortable doing this on your own is to submit it here, there are plenty of people here that can help you after you do. Good luck!
