Hi,
I have a 4yro low profile W2k Pro Pc with a P3 and 256 ram & flat panel display.

My troubles began a week ago when I tried to return from hibernation from the previous night. (I have the Pc setup so If I walk away never to return for the night, the pc shuts itself off.) The Pc went through what sounded like it's normal start up; keyboard lights flashed, HD made it's usual sounds but there was no video signal.

I checked the obvious like cables and power to the display, all were ok but still no video.

(For the past several months, I have been experiancing video issues like; a blue swirling "fuzz-like" haze around pictures and during games, games that just end for no reason and return me to the desktop and game dumps that indicate to the manufacturer lack of memory so I figured time was up for the video card and set out for a new one. The card is OE with only 34M of storage.)

Turns out that my video card is an AGP half-height, not an easy find as I soon found out, especially for a low profile frame. I finally found one that with a little modification to the card face-frame would fit my Pc and when powered on actually gave me video but the pc locked-up after the "resuming windows" messsage so I re-booted it and then was back to no video. I swapped the display to an older tube display from another working Pc but still no video.

Now what, any suggestions will be greatly apreciated.

The Windows NT and 2000 section would have been better than this Windows 95, 98 and Me section.

It sounds like the AGP slot on the motherboard has gone bad and would require replacement. It might be possible to use a PCI card but most of the SFF cases I've seen only had a limited number of PCI slots and were taken by the Dial-Up Modem and NIC/Network Interface Card. It's also possible the power supply is not furnishing the correct power to the motherboard.
