It appears that they have been treating our replies as spam and either deleting them or filtering them into your SPAM folder. I am writing this from our Hotmail email in an attempt to contact you. Please contact your email service provider and inquire them to unblock our email address domain (@pctools.com) for us to further assist you.""

Here is my reply:

""his appears to be a sham.

I just received this email, which if it was being block, why the hell would you send it knowing it would be blocked. Obviously you know it is not being blocked. SHAM!!!! Besides why should I contact covad when YOU have the problem of being black listed for abuses.

You still have not answered my questions or replied to my email.

You are actually being abusive by failing to respond, and this last email is the last straw in a long series of absolutely intentional incompetence.

REFUND MY MONEY AT ONCE FOR THESE PROGRAMS THAT DO NOT WORK AND THAT YOU DO NOT SUPPORT.""
DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM PCTOOLS.
PS Pctools also does not refund the promisted refunds on their packages. The tell you you did not send in all the required document. Of course you sent in the origionals and cant prove that you sent them the only originals - it is fraud plain and simple. It has happend to me for three years. No more.

Sorry but I fail to see your logic....

From the information given, it looks like PC tools obviously got a bounced back email when sending through there normal email client, which is quite common, alot of web based email client mark any email adress that isnt common as spam and its gets rejected. Hence the reason they sent the email through hotmail. They even stated this in the disclaimer. The thing I cant understand is why you think this behaviour is a "scam" (its not sham).

And final note you have written this has happened for 3 years? And now you do something about it.

Get your story straight.

i have never known pctools to refuse a refund

they haven't been blacklisted for abuse, if any mail provider blocked emails for reasons other than spamming/other fraudulent activitys, pctools has the right to sue them

Hi
Its probably becuase the PC Tools email originate from Australia (I think), the ISP doesnt like the IP address so blocks it.

My ISP Comcast block a heap of legimate email for no apparant reason, it's a real pain so I mostly use a Gmail account now which is a lot more forgiving (and better anti-spam).

I know PC Tools had trouble contacting me at one point, and I got pretty irate because I thought they hadn't replied. After I sent 3 emails each getting a little more angry; I got a phone call (!) saying they were trying to email me and it obviously wasn't working so they answered the question and I gave them another address. Needless to say I was pretty impressed...

There have been times when their reponses have been slow (up to 3-days), but generally it's sub 24hrs and I don't really need to contact much now so can't comment on the recent history.

Why don't you just call them, it's a free call in the US, and they'll do it over the phone... http://www.pctools.com/contact/ - Sales & Support: 1-800-764-5783.

BTW; PC Tools aren't blocked for abuse; there are several sites that can check this... e.g. http://www.dnsstuff.com/tools/ip4r.ch?%26ip%3Dpctools.com

redcroc,

Have you read the forum rules? If anyone is being abusive it's yourself. PC Tools seems to be doing their best to contact you and sending you an e-mail from a Hotmail address in an effort to reach you is not what I'd call a 'sham' or scam.

I have no personal connection with PC Tools but have always received polite and reasonably prompt service and their product, in my humble opinion, is the best.

Keep it cool!
