Cyberhawk behaviour at system shutdown

The Cyberhawk service process often produces an error message box at system shutdown.

The titlebar reads: CHService.exe - Application Error

The message reads: The instruction "0x77f8f281" referenced memory at "0x00000010". The memory could not be "written".

This shutdown problem and the information in the error message box is exactly the same for Windows 2000 and XP.

I am taking a guess that it is connected to our conflict with Outpost. Outpost prevents Cyberhawk from loading completely.

Would that also affect the rootkit scan?

Would this be something to do with process self-protection? Outpost 4 has something like this and Cyberhawk also appears to have it.
