Recently, by looking at the internet history list, we found that my son was visiting some "questionable" sites. He's 13 and we don't think he knows how we found out. He only knows that we found out. Anyway, like any 13 year old boy, I know he'll soon figure out how to erase the history list to cover his tracks.

Is there anyway to password protect or lock the history clearing function? I know there is software out there to monitor internet use, but it would be so much easier if he had no access to clearing the history.

Thanks, BDWeller

Read Internet Explorer Control Panel Restrictions (http://www.pctools.com/guides/registry/detail/537/).

User Key:REGEDIT4

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Inte rnet Explorer\Control Panel]
;;;"HomePage"=dword:00000001
"History"=dword:00000001
System Key:REGEDIT4

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Int ernet Explorer\Control Panel]
"History"=dword:00000001

Also, read and follow Blocking Unwanted Parasites with a Hosts File (http://www.mvps.org/winhelp2002/hosts.htm) at http://www.mvps.org/winhelp2002/. You can block many of those "questionable" sites by their hosts file (and it is updated often, as quanta of these sites increase everyday...).
