I have used Cyberhawk for one month. It works well in most time. But I have the following 2 issues:
Occationally, Cyberhawk does not show in the systray after Windows starts. I have to use Icesword to kill CHTray.exe, then run it again.
The other issue, some times, the traybar is freezed. I can run taskmgr, but it will suspend if I try to kill some processes through it. What I can do is run processexplorer and restart Windows. It has happened 3 times after I install Cyberhawk. I use other security software with Cyberhawk, and they are Avira Antivir Personal, Comodo PFW and System Safety Monitor (but I have not try run SSM with Cyberhawk and SSM will not start with Whidows).
One advice:
The warning information of Cyberhawk is so simple and less helpful. Would your team improve it? Detail warning information will be highly appreciated by advanced users.
Best Regards.

More detailed information is on the plans. How much will depend on demand from users to various departments.
The tray icon not appearing is a known issue (not common, but known). In most of the cases, Cyberhawk is fully functional, but the icon itself does not appear. You can probably have it appear if you go to >Start >Programs ...
Thanks

O, thanks. Go to Start > Programs > Cyber hawk cannot work. But it is just a piece of cake. ^_^
How about traybar freezing?

Tordis, I will have to try and re-create this setup on a system here, so that I can try and repeat what you are seeing.

I think it is caused by conflict between security softwares. But it is always difficult to confirm and solve such issues.
Do anybody report such a case?
Best Regards.

Yes, we have seen reports and I think we have a repeatable case here that we re-recreated.
Hopefully we can get a fix out as soon as possible.

Thanks for contacting PC Tools.
Regarding the difficulties with Cyberhawk not showing in the System Tray.
Do you have a high number of applications loading to the SysTray? (applications that automatically load up during Windows Startup).
What might be happening is:
- Cyberhawk asks the taskbar to display the tray icon but the taskbar isn't ready for that request
or
- Because a high amount of activity during Windows startup the Cyberhawk message is getting lost.
Something we can try is to clear out the history for these icons that load. Below are some instructions from Microsoft hopefully it will help. There are a high number of steps involved but the extra steps may help.
1. Run regedit: click on Start > click on Run > type "regedit"(without quotes), click OK
2. Navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curre ntVersion\Explorer
3. In the Explorer folder change the value of EnableAutoTray to '0'.
4. Right click Start (or anywhere on the taskbar) and select Properties.]
5. Click the Taskbar tab.
6. Clear the Lock the taskbar option.
7. Check Hide inactive icons.
8. On the Taskbar tab, click Customize.
9. In the Current Items section, select each of the items as "Always Hide". Click OK, then OK again.
10. Start all over, re-open the properties dialog box, and select each item as "Hide when inactive" in the Current items section. Click OK, then OK again.
11. Navigate in the registry to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curre ntVersion\Explorer\TrayNotify
12. Delete the IconStreams and PastIconStreams values.
13. Close the Registry Editor.
14. Close all open programs.
15. Open Task Manager: click on Start > click on Run > type "taskmgr", without quotes
16. Click on the Processes tab.
17. Click on explorer.exe in the image name column.
18. Click on the End Process button.
19. Confirm Yes to kill the process. This will close the desktop except for Task Manager.
20. In Task Manager select the File menu command.
21. Click on the Create New Task button.
22. In the Open box type: explorer
23. Click OK.
Please let us know how you go.
Kind regards,

I have 5 applications loading to the SysTray. They are Avira Antivir, Comodo PFW, Cyberhawk and the other 2 application. (The problem does not appear in these last few days.) And now the other 2 applications are removed from auto-startup list.
And your advice is followed to empty the PastIconStreams, thanks.
Best Regards.
