DM scan shows more than RM

I just downloaded Desktop Mechanic and ran a scan with it. It came up with a significantly greater number of problems than Registry Mechanic. Why would this be? I ran one right after the other. Also, Desktop Mechanic seemed to run much faster. I am trying to see if there is an advantage in switching to DM from RM and PG.

Desktop Mechanic's has some improvements, which RM doesn't have for now. However, the developers are currently working on this.
