My swdsvc.exe does an enormous amount of i/o other in task manager , which , seems to slow down my pc . Is this normal and WAD ? or is it unique to me ? or is it being looked at?
As i don't want to waste the rest of my life on this i would appreciate some sort of response.
Thanks in advance.

This is a double post. :)
See http://www.pctools.com/forum/showthread.php?t=45042&page=6.
I have checked my I/O other with the other processes and this is very normal. Most security programs will just keep counting. Sending messages back and fourth to the kernel and so on. This is no indication of slowing down the PC.
If you are experiencing slow downs, this is most likely related to a process on your system, which SD's OnGuard tool is detecting. This does not mean the process is malicious. It just means, there may be strange behaviour in the registry (changes) from other software running, where SD will need to work out what to do with this. You can test this out by disabling OnGuard to see if your computer speeds up and try to locate the individual tool causing the problem. Send a Malware log to PC Tools and they may be able to implement a fix.
Basically, it comes down to each persons computer, with the behaviour of the OnGuard tools. This is why some users will experience slow downs, whereas others don't. This is the side affect of real time protection.
Hope this helps.

Thanks for pointing out the "almost" double post . This was moved on the end of another long running issue that was related to the same process but not the same , this was 100% cpu usage so when it got moved any feedback to me was about 100% which i was not having and then the solutions provided were related to 100% cpu , i was told it is fixed so what was my issue , raise a new ticket etc etc......
So i thought i would try again to get an answer to my question which you have rightly done. Thanks for that. So i will try to state again what the issue is
IO other reads is high with virus turned on.
btw it still does io other with EVERYTHING possible turned off just not as much. It intermitently stops my pc , stops me connection to the internet etc. To be honest i'm not sure how much more i can take...i have been VERY VERY patient considering the ineptness i have had to put up with BUT i have sufferred this knowing sd4 was brilliant and i was hoping sd5 would be good .....

This appears to be normal behaviour as mine does something similar including other security software.

This should not happen as the IO other doesnt affect the slow downs and your internet connection should not be affected by SDv5. Have you tried disabling the OnGuard tools to see if your computer speeds up? Also can you check if you have Site guard of Email guard installed. Also check that you have installed 5.0.0.184.
