Two things that seem to be missing:
1) When I schedule for a scan (ex: daily), the "When an infection is detected" settings is gone. So while my version 4.1 daily scan automatically removed infected files (ex: tracking cookies), I constantly need to manually repair in version 5.0
2) Version 4.1 constantly warned me when this or that tracking cookie got blocked via onguard. In version 5 I never ever get those warnings ...is it even blocking them???

about your first question i have to agree i have to delete the infections manually too
in your second question the cookie guard removes (only tracking cookies )automatically please see the "history" under"settings-history"to check the activity
hope it helps

i have to agree with reviewers when they say that spyware doctor needs a lot more settings
they removed the option for no reason

I'm really surprised at that change. They ever hear of "If it's not broken, don't fix it" ?
Kind of a shame that I have to revert to vers 4.1 =/

I hear this offered as a solution often. I guess we shouldnt think of it as retreat but attack to the rear.

Well not completely true they removed certain settings guards etc hoping to get the SD5 program to work properly.

Thanks for the info.
1. We are aware that this option is missing and will be fixing this.
2. Cookie guard is functional though there is no warning, you can see this functioning by going to settings > history, which will show OnGuard detections for cookies.
