I installed Spyware Doctor 5.0 and now i cannot get AOL Open Ride to work it keeps locking up and only way to close AOL open ride is to hold the off button on computer to turn off computer..
So any solutions? in the meantime i am now going to remove SD5.0 since Open Ride is more important!

you could try using "spyware doctor 4.1" instead of SD 5, if you want to.. otherwise, you could contact pctools "support" and let them know about the problem..
also, you could give some more information about what other software you are using which might help pinpoint the problem.. are you running "zone alarm 7"? are you running microsoft's "vista"?

Hi EraserOne,
Thanks for the heads up. I was able to reproduce the problem with XP Pro. As redwolfe_98 suggested, I'll notify the PC tools QA group of this issue.

Thanks for the information,
I used to use Spware doctor 4.1 but it took too long to open and slowed my computer to a halt and kept getting false information.. So i removed my SD 4.1 off my computer last year and havent used SD since, and i use Spyware Sweeper,AVG Antispyware,Spybot & destroy and adaware <G>
But thought since i still have a paying subscription with Spyware doctor, Thought i would see If Spyware Doctor 5.0 was faster, will it scans alot slower than 4.1 and doesnt seem to open any faster than 4.1 and when i had 4.1 installed i had no problems with opening AOL..
I have Windows XP Pro, No Zone Alarm just use Microsoft Firewall that came with XP and have NOD32 Antivirus, Since i removed SD 5.0 i have no problems with AOL Open Ride which i am posting this from...

eraserone, SD 4.1 is a newly updated version of SD 4, and it opens/starts up much faster than the "old" SD 4..
in my experience with SD 3.x and 4.x, they did not slow my computer down in any noticable way, but the programs did take a little time to load up, when you first booted up your computer.. that didn't bother me..
imo, you should try SD 4.1 if you are having trouble with SD 5..
