The freezes are associated with attempts to open attachments ( in Outlook or in I.E7 ) when - I suppose - SPD tries to scan them. If I pursue, I often get a message saying that Symantec knows about this problem and I should do something or about my WinFax Pro , according to whether I am running 10.02 or 10.03 ( or similar words). But I am not running WinFax pro at all , and if it is on my computer, at least Search can't find any file with such a name.
By the way I run a 64 bit Windows XP Pro system - not sure if this has anything to do with it - PCTools say something about not supporting this - don't understand if it means that I can't expect it to work ? ( Pity they didn't say so before I purchased ! ) Or maybe they just don't want to answer questions about it ... or maybe it's got nothing to do with it.
Shpould be interested to know if other reported freezes - ( swdsvc.exe using say 75% and crss.exe using 25% ) are also in 64 bit systems ?

i know vista 64 isn't supported, it wouldn't have let you install it if it wasn't compatible

XP 64 is definitely supported - I've been running SD on two XP 64 PCs for the last year and a half. Absolutely no problems at all.

But SD5 won't run.
