Both my laptop and desktop will not stay in the standby mode. If I try to put my computers to sleep, they immediately wake up within a few seconds.

Hi
To be honset, I am using rather alot of security software (see my signature!) However, by just shutting down SD I can go to standby/hibernate with no problems so it must be SD!

Hello,
I never use the Hibernate mode so I'm not sure I'd have the same symptom as you. All I know is that ever since version 5.0.0.182 I've been having this Standby problem on a Dell Inspiron e1405 Laptop running Windows XP Media Edition, and a home built desktop running Windows XP Pro SP2..
I also have this problem, and have been waiting too long for a fix. Unfortunately I didn't keep the previous version; otherwise I would reinstall it. Maybe PC Tools could learn from ZoneAlarm and make previous versions available on their website?
XR6,
If you want to download Spyware Doctor 4.0, trying the URL below. It worked for me.

Thanks, but I'm running Vista so would prefer to run V5. Which was fine until the latest version.
