boot up problems

hi there
i seem to have a problem everytime i turn on my computer it always goes to the win 98 start up menu
and propmts me if i want to boot up in normal, safe, dos etc modes
it always seems to come up everytime i boot up my computer.
I would apreciate it if some could help with this problem

open MSCONFIG and click advance next to the bottom right.
There is a check box to always show the startup screen. If you remove that it should go away
