I just installed swdoctor on my desktop and tried to register but it said "invalid" so I tried it on my Toshiba laptop and it accepted the registration key but after swdoctor updated it would hang reboot, even if I took it out of startup it would still hang so i just uninstalled and wait to hear from cust support.
What a wasted day!!!

Hi
Can i confirm that you are using Spyware Doctor version 5?
If you cannot get version 5 to work you can use version 4 (still fully supported with updates) here (http://www.pctools.com/spyware-doctor/version4/)

Thanks for the info, I tried different releases and still could not get the license to work, as for the laptop did work with other releases but once it update to 5.0 it would hang.

Hi
Are you running any other security software? If so, what is set to automatically startup? What operating system do you use?

I do use zone alarm for firewall and NOD 32 for Anti Virus and that is on both laptop and desktop. the OS is WinXp MCE-2005 on the desktop and WinXp on the laptop. They are almost the same for startup programs and zone alarm and NOD 32. I have tried on the turning off all startup programs on both computers but still nothing seems to work. Have tried uninstalling and cleaned out the registry of any things that unistall missed. Have no idea why one computer accepts the license and one would not and the laptop not booting up even if it's the only program in startup.

Samson07,
Please try to register in Safe mode of Windows. This might help. Make sure it is safe mode with networking.
Kind regards,
Support
