I think I read sometime ago, that there may be a problem running 'chkdsk' along with Spyware Doctor (version 4)? Is that correct and is there a work around to be able to run it? Thanks.

I have Spyware Doctor on my computer and run chkdsk about once every month or so and it works fine.

you might have version5 witch works fine. i havent tryed with 4

I have never had a problem running it with version 4 myself.

Thanks for your posts - I think my computer had some major problems and the chkdsk was working, it just took it forever to get past 1 %. But, when I ran the defragger which took about 8 hours, I ran the chkdsk from dos - it did run and took about 5 hours to finish. Atleast I am happy that most of my problems have been solved. I was unable to do a back up using Acronis until I corrected the sector errors. Thanks again.
