I purchased Spyware doctor w/antivirus. I downloaded and everything works well for one day.. then license expires and nothing works right. Uggh. No answers from support. So does anyone here know what is going on.:mad:

Hi
Can you try doing a smartupdate? Sometimes doing that ensures registration details are up-to-date. If that doesnt work, try sending a PM to AChen with your registration details.

I, too, have had major problems with getting the version to register.
I had the older version which I had updated recently. Then on April 7th my subscription had to renew. I was NOT ALLOWED to renew without contacting Support. I contacted support and they were no help. The just didn't respond to the issue I was having in a timely way.
Frustrated, I purchased the new version (2 seats) and uninstalled the same version (which was installed under the older reg code). I restarted the computer. I even went through the registry and deleted EVERY key that referenced Spyware Doctor. I installed the latest download, obtained when I purchased the two-seats today.
Now I am STILL registered under the old code and CANNOT change it. What gives.
I'm sick and tired of trying to deal with support who doesn't respond and was hoping that this forum would give me some answers.
Come on, you guys, how about a fix!!!!

PM Support may answer email here.. but never fix the problem or answer existing support issues.
I have two outstanding problems - and NO emails or response.
I purchased a new license.. smart update tells me to renew
There is no registration button on Spydoctor page. That would solve everything as I have the new license code.. just need someplace to put the code. Come on Do some support fellows.

Have you registered your copy of Spyware Doctor previously and just bought a new key? If that is the case, please send a PM to AChen/Support describing your problem and they will change the registration details. Please note that on weekends support may be slower as this is out of hours.

Homer666777 Oh what fun these computer sells organizations are. Finally called the service number. Talked to someone in Ireland. Oh bralmmery, yours system doesnt work, well just wait until I kiss the lass and then she will send you an email with detail instructions.. So, now I am still awaiting for this Irishman to get off the lass and do me a flavor. :)

Hey there!
Ok I think I fixed it on my computer. I figured that maybe the reason the old key was still appearing was because my version was older (4) and the new version I downloaded was 5. So I uninstalled the new version and installed the old one. Then after that I rebooted and it showed up as if it was the first time including the license key input option. So I entered my new subscription key and now it seems to be working fine again.
It kind of ****s that I can't use the new version; but at least I have the subscription again.
Tech support should make a fix so that we can use the new version without this bug.

Hi guys
To upgrade to version 5 please do the following:
1. Download version 5 from www.pctools.com/spyware-doctor/download/
2. Shutdown SDv4 by right-clicking onthe systray icon and selecting Shutdown/Exit
3. Uninstall SDv4 usingthe PC Tools uninstaller
4. Restart PC
5. Delete all folders/files associated with SD (usually in C:\Program Files\Spyware Doctor)
6. Restart PC
7. Install the file downloaded in step 1
It should automatically use your license from the previous version
