I assume SDTrayApp.exe is part of Spyware Doctor. I appologise if it's not.

I upgraded to 5.0 b179 yesterday. When I got up this morning I saw that my CPU temperature was higher than I would expect first thing in the morning (i.e. after a night at idle) so I pulled up task manager and looked what was running. The SDTrayApp.exe process seems to be kicking in about once every 1-3 seconds and spiking the CPU usage up to anywhere between 25 and 40% for a half second or so. It's been doing this all the time I've been watching it just now but, judging from my CPU temp, I think it's been doing it for a while before I got up as well.

Is this normal?

Hi JulianL,

Ive tried to reproduce the concern but was unable too. Could you please try this...

1. Power down the pc completely.
2. Wait 20 seconds and power up.
3. After the desktop and Spyware Doctor load up, please complete a Spyware Doctor smart update.
4. The next morning, check the cpu usage once again. If it is the same outcome, take a screenshot of the task manager window and post it here.

Also, what version of Windows are you using (XP, 2000, 98)?
