When a scan is active, if you go to "Start Scan" it shows what status / how far the scan is
What it does not show is what type of scan is active
Can I ask that SD5 be enhanced to show what type of scan is underway (eg Intelliscan, full scan, custom)
Although minor, it would help you determine if the right sort of scan is active
One could also suppose that it might be possible to record (somewhere) the times previous scans took, and thus provide an estimate of time remaining
