View Full Version : CPU Processing Speed?

I would like to know of a way to view my computers processing speed. This computer is about 3 yrs. old and I don't know of a way to see what it's MHz speed is? I know how to veiw it's RAM, HD space, but not processing speed.
Help........

Which OS are you running? You can use "msinfo32" and that should show your CPU speed.

An easy way that usually works is to look at the Boot-post screen, it usually lists the processor speed (from full restart, on/off) or else in the device listing screen (hit esc on windows loading, if u have windows!)

if its older than that...throw it out!

If it is an Intel processor you can use the frequency ID program found at http://appsr.intel.com/scripts-df/Product_Filter.asp?ProductID=441 This utility measures the actual frequency and also determines the frequency that was set by Intel.
