Was a big fan of Version 4 and have been sharing other members' frustrations with earlier builds of V5. But with build .176 things seem to have greatly improved. IE7 no longer freezes and my Vista 32 suffers no slow-downs or other problems. Scanning completes fine and Smart Update seems to work without a hitch. By golly I think they've got it!

Yep!
I really commend PC Tools for the effort to resolve all the reported issues. The Testing and Debugging process is not an easy thing anymore.
Firstly Vista (not really perfect), and all the new changes in some hardware architecture (e.g. 64-bit computing, multiple processors...) as well as new 'exploit tricks' used by malware writers poses a big challenge for all security software developers.
Secondly add the ability to make 'any' security software to be compatible with other security software without knowing much about their code. Applications 'break' each other somewhat. Most of us do not help the situation since we pile all sorts of software understandably in the name of 'layered security'. There is no need to mention 'cracked/reverse engineered/pirate' software.
PC Tools cannot be excused, but I hope they get there soon. Even SD 4 was not perfect, but the developers' landscape has changed in a big way. :D
