View Full Version : SWD 5.0 + A/V problems... PC freezes and cant work at all.

Hi,

Sorry if I'm repeating lot of information that other already did, but I just what the software back to work, the software let me work or my money back.
I must clarify that I already posted 5 times after I got my "Ticket confirmation" and nobody from the company, responded me, but they were good to take my money and replay the same afternoon I bought the software.
Que frustracion...

Synthoms....
nice... SWD not update, but upgrade for a really new version... 5.0
a) SWD 5.0 download ---> installation = problem started.
b) software "started" showing a red "X" and System status: Checking...
c) after 10, 20, 30, 30 minutes, nothing change... decided to shutdown the program, started again but nothing happened.

d) uninstall the SWD 5.0, install it again... and it seems to work... it ask to restart my PC.
e) PC restarted and SWD 5.0 started playing again, no response, and my PC is slow as a Pentium I.

I don't have an extra A/V on my PC. I tried the software on my laptop where I have Symantec A/V and I disable it in order to make run SWD software but I got the same results. Not even trying on safemode. I'm using a win2000.

I definitely decided to uninstall the software and wait for the technical support to contact me... unfortunately and after almost 2 weeks, no response to my e-mails or my "ticket confirmation" post.

Anyway... and I don't want to go farther... DOES THIS PROBLEM HAS A SOLUTION... OR SHOULD I START TO SUBMIT MY REQUEST FOR MONEY BACK??

I can only tell you what i would do, if your a new user get your cash back asap as you were trusting that a you purchased a working product. If your an existing user and have had the SD4 experience then upgraded to v5.0 and life got funky, then all you can hope for is that they will give you extended time on your subscription and eventually fix the issue. The fact that pc tools is asking people to private message them about flicking on and off A/V tells me they are still shooting in the dark and the problems run deeper.

I just want some release notes that are more than 4-5 lines of things to try.

Hey Dainelsan,

The problems you are having cannot be resolved by tech support. Its a bug within the software and I believe the developers are working on fixing. Other post suggest that there is a delay with replies for the time being as tickets have increased during the last week. I dont understand why people send in 5 + tickets if they dont get a reply LOL, only making it a bigger mess for yourselves. Imagine everyone sends in 5 each. Noone will be getting a reply for a long time. :D

If you cant wait for the fixes, ask for a refund or use SDv4 for the time being.
